Free Alternative to Windows Vista

If you are looking for a new experience beyond your lousy version of Windows XP but don't want to dish out the money for Windows Vista, then you should look into Linux Mint. This is a desktop operating system that is strongly based on Linux's main Windows competitor, Ubuntu, but it comes equipped with a stronger multimedia experience out of the box. This is not Windows, so if anyone out there is giving this a try, at least understand that. I have not tried this particular version of Linux yet, but I have and do use Ubuntu, and I can say that there isn't a whole lot of use for a Windows desktop anymore. Try it out or check out some YouTube videos of it in action to see if it is right for you.
